INTRODUCTION

Thank you for selecting the Oregon Scientiﬁc

remote thermo-

hygro sensor (THGR810 / THGN810). This product is compatible

with various wireless weather station products.

This sensor is compatible with main units that carry this logo

. Keep this manual handy as you use your new product. It

contains practical step-by-step instructions, as well as technical

speciﬁcations and warnings you should know about.

GETTING STARTED

BATTERIES

Insert batteries before ﬁrst use, matching the polarity (+ and -)

as shown in the battery compartment. For best results, install

batteries in the remote sensor before the main unit. Press

RESET after each battery change.

NOTE It is recommended that you use alkaline batteries

with this product for longer performance and lithium batteries

in below freezing temperatures (0ºC / 32ºF). Do not use

rechargeable batteries.

SET UP SENSOR

1. Slide battery door open.

2. Insert the batteries, matching the polarity (+ and -) .

3. Use CODE to select the channel.

4. THGR810 only - Set the temperature unit.

5. Place the sensor near the main unit. Press RESET on the

sensor. Then, press the appropriate main unit button (as

speciﬁed in the main unit manual) to initiate signal sending

between the sensor and the main unit.

6. Close the sensor battery compartment.

7. Secure the sensor in the desired location using the wall

mount or table stand.

For best results:

• Place the sensor out of direct sunlight and moisture.

• Do not place the sensor more than 100 m (330 ft) from the

main (indoor) unit.

• Position the sensor so that it faces the main (indoor) unit,

minimizing obstructions such as doors, walls, and furniture.

• Place the sensor in a location with a clear view to the sky,

away from metallic or electronic objects.

• Position the sensor close to the main unit during cold winter

months as below-freezing temperatures may affect battery

performance and signal transmission.

The transmission range may vary depending on many factors.

You may need to experiment with various locations to get the

best results.

Standard Alkaline batteries contain significant amounts of

water. Because of this they will freeze in low temperatures of

approximately -12°C (10°F). Consumer grade Lithium batteries

have a much lower threshold for temperature with an estimated

freezing range of below -30°C (-22°F).

Wireless ranges can be impacted by a variety of factors such

as extremely cold temperatures. Extreme cold may temporarily

reduce the effective range between the sensor and the base

station. If the unit’s performance fails due to low temperature, the

unit will resume proper functioning as the temperature rises to

within the normal temperature range (i.e. no permanent damage

will occur to the unit due to low temperatures).

PRECAUTIONS

This product is engineered to give you years of satisfactory

service if you handle it carefully. Here are a few precautions:

• Do not subject the unit to excessive force, shock, dust,

temperature or humidity, which may result in malfunction,

shorter electronic life span, damaged battery and distorted

parts.

• Do not immerse the unit in water. If you spill liquid over it,

dry it immediately with a soft, lint-free cloth.

• Do not clean the unit with abrasive or corrosive materials.

• Do not tamper with the unit’s internal components. Doing

so will invalidate the warranty on the unit and may cause

unnecessary damage. The unit contains no user-serviceable

parts.

• Only use fresh batteries as speciﬁed in the user’s

instructions. Do not mix new and old batteries.

• Due to printing limitations, the displays shown in this

manual may differ from the actual display.

• The contents of this manual may not be reproduced without

the permission of the manufacturer.

• Do not dispose this product as unsorted municipal waste.

Collection of such waste separately for special treatment is

necessary.

OPERAZIONI PRELIMINARI

BATTERIE

Inserire le batterie prima del primo utilizzo, rispettando la polarità

indicata nel vano (+ e -). Per risultati migliori, inserire prima

le batterie nel sensore remoto e successivamente nell’unità

principale. Premere RESET dopo ogni sostituzione di batteria.

NOTA Per prestazioni prolungate del prodotto, si consiglia di

utilizzare batterie alcaline, mentre in caso di temperature inferiori

allo zero (0 °C / 32 °F), si consiglia l’uso di batterie al litio. Non

utilizzare batterie ricaricabili.

IMPOSTAZIONE DEL SENSORE

1. Far scorrere la copertura del vano batterie ﬁno ad aprirlo.

2. Inserire le batterie, rispettando la polarità indicata (+ / -).

3. Selezionare il canale con CODE.

4. Solo per il modello THGR810 – Impostare l’unità di misura

della temperatura.

5. Collocare il sensore vicino all’unità principale. Premere

RESET sul sensore. Successivamente, premere il pulsante

corretto sull’unità principale (in base a quanto speciﬁcato

sul manuale della stessa) per avviare l’invio di segnale tra il

sensore e l’unità principale.

6. Chiudere il vano batterie del sensore.

7. Collocare il sensore nella posizione desiderata mediante il

Per ottenere risultati migliori:

• Posizionare il sensore al riparo da luce solare diretta e da

umidità.

• Non posizionare il sensore a più di 100 metri (330 piedi)

dall’unità interna principale.

• Posizionare il sensore in modo che si trovi di fronte all’unità

interna principale, riducendo al minimo le ostruzioni

causate da porte, pareti e mobili.

• Posizionare il sensore con campo senza ostruzioni verso il

cielo, lontano da oggetti metallici o elettronici.

• Posizionare il sensore vicino all’unità principale durante i mesi più

freddi, dal momento che le temperature inferiori allo zero

possono inﬂuire sulle prestazioni della batteria e sulla trasmissione

del segnale.

INTRODUCTION

Merci d’avoir choisi le capteur thermo-hygro LCD d’Oregon

Scientiﬁc

(THGR810 / THGN810). Ce produit est compatible

avec plusieurs produits de station météorologique sans ﬁl.

Ce capteur est compatible avec les appareils principaux portant

ce logo . Conservez ce manuel à portée de main quand

vous utilisez votre nouveau produit. Il contient des informations

pratiques à suivre pas à pas ainsi que des caractéristiques

techniques et des mises en garde dont vous devriez avoir

connaissance.

VUE D’ENSEMBLE DU PRODUIT

1. Ecran LCD (le THGN810 n’a pas d’écran LCD) : indique le

numéro du canal, les relevés de température et d’humidité

et le niveau de confort.

AU COMMENCEMENT

PILES

Insérer les piles avant la première utilisation, en respectant les

signes de polarité (+ et -) comme indiqué dans le compartiment

des piles. Pour de meilleurs résultats, insérez les piles du

capteur à distance avant celles de l’appareil principal. Appuyer

sur RESET après chaque changement de piles.

REMARQUE Il est conseillé d’utiliser des piles alcalines avec

ce produit pour une plus longue durée de vie et des piles en

lithium pour des températures inférieures à 0°C. Ne pas utiliser

de piles rechargeables

REGLAGE DU CAPTEUR

1. Retirer le couvercle du compartiment des piles en le faisant

glisser.

2. Insérer les piles, en respectant la polarité (+et -)

3. Utiliser l’interrupteur CODE pour choisir le canal.

4. THGR810 uniquement – Régler l’unité de température.

5. Placer le capteur près de l’appareil principal. Appuyer sur

RESET sur le capteur. Appuyer ensuite sur le bouton approprié

de l’appareil principal (comme il est indiqué dans le manuel de

l’appareil principal) pour initier l’envoi des signaux entre le

capteur et l’appareil principal.

6. Refermer le compartiment des piles du capteur.

7. Fixer le capteur à l’endroit désiré en utilisant le montage

mural ou le support de table.

Pour de meilleurs résultats :

• Ne placez pas le capteur directement face aux rayons du soleil

ou en contact avec de la moisissure.

• Ne placez pas le capteur à plus de 100 mètres (330 pieds) de

l’appareil principal (intérieur).

• Positionnez le capteur de manière à ce qu’il soit face à

l’appareil principal (intérieur), minimisant ainsi les obstructions

comme les portes, murs ou les meubles.

• Placez le capteur directement vers le ciel, éloigné des objets

étalliques et électroniques.

• Positionnez le capteur à proximité de l’appareil principal

pendant les mois d’hiver puisque le gel peut endommager le

fonctionnement des piles et la transmission du signal.

La distance de transmission peut varier en fonction de plusieurs

facteurs. Vous pouvez exp

érimenter plusieurs emplacements aﬁn

d’obtenir les meilleurs résultats possibles.

Les piles alcalines standard sont compos

ées d’un volume

d’eau non négligeable. Par conséquent, elles peuvent geler

lors de temp

ératures inférieures à –12°C (10°F). Les piles aux

lithium destinées aux consommateurs, ont un seuil inférieur

lors de températures froides, elle ne peuvent en effet geler

qu’à –30°C (-22°F).

l’appareil reviendra en mode de fonctionnement normal dès que

érature repassera dans une gamme acceptable (ainsi

aucun dommage permanent ne sera remarqué).

EINLEITUNG

Wir danken Ihnen, dass Sie sich für den externen Thermo-

Hygro-Sensor (THGR810 / THGN810) von Oregon Scientiﬁc

entschieden haben. Dieses Produkt ist mit verschiedenen

kabellosen Wetterstationen kompatibel.

Dieser Sensor ist mit Basiseinheiten kompatibel, die dieses Logo

tragen . Halten Sie bitte diese Anleitung bereit, wenn Sie Ihr

neues Produkt in Betrieb nehmen. Sie enthält praktische Schritt-

für-Schritt-Anweisungen sowie technische Daten und wichtige

Hinweise für den Umgang mit diesem Gerät.

PRODUKTÜBERSICHT

1. LCD-Anzeige (der THGN810 verfügt über keine LCD-

ERSTE SCHRITTE

BATTERIEN

Legen Sie die Batterien vor der ersten Inbetriebnahme ein und

achten Sie auf die Übereinstimmung der Polarität (+ und -),

wie im Batteriefach angegeben. Um optimale Ergebnisse zu

erzielen, installieren Sie die Batterien zuerst im externen Sensor

und anschließend in der Basiseinheit. Drücken Sie nach jedem

Batteriewechsel auf RESET.

HINWEIS

Es wird empfohlen, dass Sie bei diesem Produkt

Alkaline-Batterien für eine längere Betriebsdauer und Lithium-

Batterien für Temperaturen unter dem Gefrierpunkt verwenden

(0°C / 32°F). Verwenden Sie keine wiederaufladbaren

Batterien.

SENSOR EINRICHTEN

1. Öffnen Sie den Batteriedeckel.

2. Legen Sie die Batterien ein und achten Sie auf die

3. Verwenden Sie

CODE, um den Kanal auszuwählen.

4. Nur bei THGR810 - Stellen Sie die Temperatureinheit ein.

5. Platzieren Sie den Sensor in der Nähe der Basiseinheit. Drücken

Sie am Sensor auf RESET. Drücken Sie anschließend

die entsprechende Taste der Basiseinheit (wie in der Anleitung

der Basiseinheit angegeben), um die Signalübertragung

zwischen Sensor und Basisgerät zu veranlassen.

6. Schließen Sie das Batteriefach des Sensors.

7. Befestigen Sie den Sensor mit der Wandaufhängung oder

dem Tischaufsteller an der gewünschten Stelle.

Für optimale Ergebnisse:

• Platzieren Sie die Funksendeeinheit so, dass sie vor direkter

Sonnenbestrahlung und

Feuchtigkeit geschützt ist.

• Platzieren Sie die Funksendeeinheit nicht weiter als 100 Meter

von der Basiseinheit (330 im Haus) entfernt.

• Positionieren Sie die Funksendeeinheit so, dass sie auf die

Basiseinheit (im Haus) ausgerichtet ist, und vermeiden Sie

Hindernisse wie Türen, Wände und Möbel.

• Platzieren Sie die Funksendeeinheit an einem Standort

mit freier Sicht auf den Himmel und stellen Sie ihn nicht in

die N

ähe von metallischen Gegenständen oder elektronischen

Ger

äten.

• Positionieren Sie die Funksendeinheit während der kalten

Wintermonate in der Nähe der Basiseinheit, da Temperaturen

unter der Frostgrenze die Batterieleistung und die

übertragung beeinträchtigen können.

abhängen. Sie müssen eventuell mehrere Standorte testen, um

optimale Ergebnisse zu erzielen.

VORSICHTSMASSNAHMEN

bereiten, wenn Sie es sorgf

Vorsichtsma

ßnahmen:

• Setzen Sie das Gerät keiner extremen Gewalteinwirkung und

keinen Stößen aus, und halten Sie es von übermäßigem Staub,

Hitze oder Feuchtigkeit fern, da dies zu Funktionsstörungen, einer

kürzeren elektronischen Lebensdauer, beschädigten Batterien

und verformten Einzelteilen führen kann.

• Tauchen Sie das Gerät niemals in Wasser. Falls Sie eine

Flüssigkeit über das Gerät verschütten, trocknen Sie es sofort mit

einem weichen, faserfreien Tuch.

• Reinigen Sie das Gerät keinesfalls mit scheuernden oder

ätzenden Mitteln. Diese können die Kunststoffteile zerkratzen und

die elektronische Schaltung zerstören.

• Machen Sie sich nicht an den internen Komponenten des

Geräts zu schaffen. Dies kann zu einem Verlust der Garantie

führen und eine unnötige Beschädigung des Geräts verursachen.
